The Columbus Day seminar of the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers has become the most well attended continuing legal education program in Illinois on the topic of Illinois divorce and paternity law. For the past 11 years, Attorney Gunnar Gitlin has either chaired or co-chaired this program, seeing the program progress from 60 attendees to the 2015 program where nearly 500 family lawyers attended and there was a waiting list with 120 additional prospective attendees. Again in 2016, the program was sold.
This all-day seminar qualifies for 6.75 hours of CLE credits and at least 1 hour of Professionalism credit. We now have three-quarters of a year with the rewrite of Illinois divorce and parentage laws. And this year brings us the two technical corrections acts as well as the long awaited income shares legislation making the most dramatic change to Illinois child support in the past 30 years.
Gunnar Gitlin co-moderated and presented at our 11th annual seminar for experienced matrimonial lawyers. The featured presentation of the day is the Decriminalization and Legalization of Marijuana and the Impact on Parenting Allocations.
You may now view the seminar and get CLE credit through the IICLE. For more information, please, click here to review our 2016 program seminar.
