The McHenry County Fellows of the Illinois Bar Foundation hosted reception to honor H. Joseph Gitlin (as well as his friend Herb Franks).
On June 27, 2017, a reception was held to honor H. Joseph Gitlin, The Gitlin Law Firm. My father was posthumously presented with the Fellows Award for his leadership and dedication to the law. I had the honor of accepting the award on behalf of my father as introduced by Attorney Bob Downs, Chicago. Bob was a long-term and good friend of my father.
Proceeds from the event helped the Foundation further its mission to ensure meaningful access to the justice system, especially for those with limited means and assist lawyers who have fallen on hard times.
