FERPA General Guidance for Parents
This is a lay-person’s guide to the federal law (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act – FERPA) that applies to educational agencies and institution that receive certain funding. Parochial and private schools at the elementary level do not generally receive such funding and are generally exempt from FERPA. It allows for disclosure of school records, etc.
