On October 24, 2016, the Circuit Judges of the 19th Judicial Circuit revised and adopted the Local Rules. Attached are certain of the local rules applicable to divorce and family law cases in Lake County. Divorce lawyers practicing in the county should review these rules as soon as possible because there are significant changes. In fact, this is the first comprehensive set of changes since the time when McHenry County and Lake County Illinois split from being part of the 19th Judicial District and McHenry County became its own district.
